A recent survey on Cleanfax.com, a website for professional carpet cleaners revealed that only 67% of survey respondents pre-vacuum every time before cleaning a customers carpet. The machine has two motors one for the vacuum and one form the brush roll, this helps to get as much dirt as possible out of the carpet and your home or business. HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air.
Now pre-vacuum is an industry term meaning that you vacuum before cleaning. Even if the customer has vacuumed, this commercial machine will remove additional dry soil. We also vacuum baseboards and the occasional vent if we notice dust there. Here's a picture of Craig pre-vacuuming.
Not only does pre-vacuuming help remove dry soils and loose items it gives the operator ample opportunity to check the surface for stains and pulls in the carpet and address these issues.
